“Who is the man coming our way?" My stomach does a little flip flop as I see him approaching from across the fields.
He looks very handsome! Broad shoulders, tall, tan. Could that be? I can only hope. The old servants eyes follow mine and he smiles, crinkles drawing shapes on his aged face and his smile broadens, “it's master Isaac!" He exclaims looking as proud as a peacock.
My heart suddenly takes on a mind of its own as it flips and flops and jumps inside of me. I reach for my face veil and with trembling hands lock it into place. Doubt and fear settles inside of me. What if he doesn't fall in love with me? What if he's brutal and evil? What if...
My thoughts come to a halt, as a still small voice seems to whisper, 'I sent you here. You will be fine.'.....
